Okay, first off, you don't get assigned a story... probably. Okay, it's kinda a given story, and kinda a make-your-own-story here. It takes place is Eastern China, the Three Kingdoms Period (around 184-280 AD) Anyways, it starts out with being able to select an era, out of 3. Dong Zhuo's Rampage, Zhuge Liang Rises, or The Three Kingdoms. DZR = 189 AD, ZLR = 208 AD, and TTK = 219 AD. After you select an era, you either assign CAWs (Created Action Warriors, Create A Warrior), and you either assign as frees, or assign a dynasty/kingdom/territory to employ to, or make your own dynasty/kingdom/territory, which such provinces/territorys, examples, include Jiangling, Luoyang, Hebei, Chengdu, Xuchang, Jianye, Lingling, Hefei, Hanzhong, etc. Anyway, after that you kinda go your own way into unifying China (The point of the game) as is it was in the Three Kingdoms Era of China. (There is even when you start an era/game, it shows what previously happened historically)
Gameplay: 6/10
___________________________________
Okay, first, there is 2 screens of Gameplay; 1 being a screen where you control the government, army movement, army supplying, moving a territory, communicating with other dynasties, etc. that goes on in your dynasty, while after you end your turn. ( or turns depending on how much territories/provinces you own) And then the 2nd being battle, which you can turn off having to play battle, or just skip through the battles when you set up your game/era to play in as you head to unify China.
Gameplay 1 - Turn (3/10)
Okay, I know you're like, Why Kamek?! WHY???!!!!?Haha, just kidding! You're probably like, Why such a low score? It's a poor little iPod game! The memory isn't big enough for a hit on this type of game! Well, well, well, YOU'RE EXACTLY RIGHT. But you're also wrong. It's low, because I gave Gameplay a 6/10, which in this case, is made up of 2 parts, for 2 screens. 3/10 + 3/10 = 6/10! Probably not... ha! JUST KIDDING... But seriously.... NOT! Anyway, the gameplay for this screen, is pretty good, despite the fact that it can't have the most amazing of amazing graphics due to the fact, that this game takes up a little more than wanted memory! But who cares!
Man: I Care!
Besides you! But anyway, there's not really anything to explain about, but there is a couple things. There is little buttons on the screen, (which the screen shows the map, not the buttons) that if you touch, show actions related to that category. For Example, if I touch Diplomacy, It shows a couple actions. (which require an officer, but not all the time, and after all officers have been chosen for an action, no more actions can be activated. Also, if you use an officer for an action, and you plan to battle after, that officer cannot participate. And one more thing, more than one officer can be selected for an action, allowing the action, to be done more than once, which the action is still available, as long as you have an officer to do so) Say the actions were Alliance, Disrupt Relations, Coalition, and Deceive. I could choose one of those, doing it more than once at the same time you clicked it, with more than one officer, which cannot do it again, or do it with an officer, and then after the action is over, I can do the action with another officer. (Like if I chose Deceive to lower another dynasty's officer's loyalty) And... well, let's move on.
Gameplay 2 - Battle (3/10)
Okay, so you choose March and attack a connecting territory/province/dynasty/kingdom, and therefore, select available officers to fight, and choose a commander. Your officers and troops (which is more like a "Go" game, due to battle is like a coin gameplay in ROTK) move, attack, use strategies, and what not to defeat all other opposing officers. Which is quite fun, but takes a while, and doesn't always go your way. Plus, you can at the beginning, once per battle, choose to duel an enemy officer. (Which shows a duel ring, 2 officers, 2 horses, 1 cup, lol, no cup, but they do fight by tapping your officer that's dueling) And last, you can in-term save, and also adjust BGM, and Sound Effects. (You can also play your own iPod music, which is a feature in options, also available in the other screen) So, there ya go a 3/10 + 3/10 = 6/10 for Gameplay! Movin` on!
Graphics: 6/10

Well, I kinda already went over this in the Gameplay part.... but who cares! Okay graphics for an iPod game. Nuff` said, movin` on!
Sound: 7/10

Well..................................................................................... the sounds great! Despite the fact that the officer's do not ___________. (Everybody loves fill in the blanks! And no, it isn't poop)
Overall: 6/10
Okay, so basically, I am gonna say what Arcella replied in another topic (though she was talking about a new Paper Mario game for the 3DS). It's a great game (she said it would) to pass time on a train. Well, or a bus, airplane, jet, car, chopper, tank, youtube, breakfast, lunch, brunch, supper, dinner, bed, school, baseball game, hospital, dentist, ortho, grave, heaven, and yes, even Hell. Okay, maybe not Hell. Yeah, Hell, go to H.E Double Hockey Sticks. No great games for you.
