According to a new rumor from a trusted source, there is a new Paper Mario game coming later this year. It is not a remake and will apparently mark a return to form for the series.

The second rumor is for the Metroid series which hints at Metroid Fusion getting a sequel. It will be a new 2D Metroid game that is a sequel to the GameBoy Advance cult classic Metroid Fusion. It will also reportedly launch in 2020 for the Nintendo Switch.

That reminds me, I only got to chapter 1 of Paper Mario Color Splash. I was excited to play it, but time and other games got in the way. Maybe I should dust off the old Wii U and give it another go.

However, I hope we get a new Paper Mario. Idc if they go for the classic rpg style of the original and TYD or if they go for the action rpg style of Super Paper Mario. As long as the whole sticker thing is gone, I'm up for whatever they want to throw at us.

they just need to make another one like the first game, that was so fun and perfect. And I'm always down for more 2D metriod.

Honestly, I like the first game more than TYD. TYD isn't a bad game. I just don't like replaying it as much as the first one. I've played the original Paper Mario to completion about 3 or 4 times. It's the final boss that kills TYD for me. I remember being stuck on that boss for days. I think I ended up restarting the whole game so I could come back with better stuff because I might've been under leveled.

Personally, I'm not a fan of Metroid, but I'm happy for the people that are. I just don't like extensive backtracking and Metroid has a lot of that. I still want to go back and play Metroid Prime 1. I played that for a while, beat some plant boss and thought I was nearing the end of the game. I was wrong though. I think I was still near the beginning, but I spent so much time being lost because of the backtracking that it felt like I should've been near the end.

I have an extreme distaste for backtracking as well, but I don't mind it for the metroid series since the backtracking takes little time. It's because of backtracking that I had to drop golden sun.

I'm not really interested in the Metroid rumor but I am interested in the Paper Mario rumor. I've played Paper Mario before in the past, like Paper Mario: Two Thousand Year Door on the GameCube, and that ended up being one of my favorite games on the GameCube.
