Rumor: Next Xbox is doomed

The more I hear about this, the more the new Xbox sounds like that Steam console I keep hearing about.

We both know video game makers charge more than what they should just because they wish to fatten up their wallets.
True, and the way I see it, they have every right to. It's their product.

I say let the consumer vote with their wallets and decide for themselves what a game is worth.

That's what inflation does. Plus, they need the money. Maybe not EA or Activision, but Team Bondi needed it, but they closed.

If Microsoft is just going to require a constant internet connection, then they mine as well just cloud everything and get it over with. Don't even bother selling box copies of any of the games. That way the new Xbox can just BE the glorified OnLive it clearly is aiming to be.

I thought Onlive just got sold to another person with more money. http://www.onlive.com/ is still up, and in business. I read they are partnering with Smart TV makers like LG, Micro-Console company like Ouya, and settop boxs like Vizio Google TV settop box, Google TV and Google Android with their Onlive App.

Yeah. They were sold to A venture capital firm for 4.8 million.
