Fans of the DS sleeper hit, The World Ends With You, went crazy when they saw the Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance trailer that came out of this year's Tokyo Game Show. About a third of the way through the video, Neku, the hero of The World Ends With You, makes a surprise cameo. Although it's very brief, it was still enough to get fans of the series buzzing. But as it turns out, this cameo may be more than just a fun surprise.
As reported by our friends over at Andriasang, this week's Famitsu featured an interview with Tetsuya Nomura, one of the creative minds behind The World Ends With You. When asked about the possibility of a sequel, he responded that Neku's cameo could be taken as a sign of something to come -- confirming that something is in the works, though he didn't specify exactly what.
It should be noted that Nomura never explicitly used the word "sequel," nor did he officially confirm that a new The World Ends With You is being developed. Still, his mysterious remarks seem to insinuate as much -- meaning it's time to start getting excited.

if this was true we should be getting a whole lot of Disney movie squeals xD.
