I stumbled upon this while looking for a song on Youtube
It seems to be an upcoming web anime series and considering that it is being made by somewhat amateurs its really great.
I could be wrong but it looks like the animation and battle style is based on Black Rock Shooter.

The series is named RWBY after the colors of the 4 characters, Red, White, Black and Yellow.

Its meant to be a full series. Their last one Red vs Blue was kinda based on Halo and had 11 seasons, each with about 20 episodes (short episodes of 3-6 minutes).

Watched the first 2 minutes but it looks good so far.

I was really impressed by it, this should be a good series and it sounds like it's been updated every Thursday.

Just finished it and I was also really impressed. Everything was just great, except for the cookie scene. I loved the ending theme as well.

It was good for developing Red's character, but the way it was animated just didn't do it for me.

Well the animation for this show is kind of cheap, maybe it will improve in season 2 with some fan donations but as long as the battles remain epic that's all I care about.

Second episode is out, not as good as the first but loved the chibi bit.

5th episode came out, the humor has been good in this series. Things should be picking up with the next episode.
