The S1 Android 3.0 tablet will be PlayStation Certified. Now I'm not a doctor but I think that means we have a legitimate gaming tablet in our future. The confirmation comes from "two highly trusted sources" who went to Engadget with the details. The tablet, codenamed S1, is 9.4 inches long and features Qriocity, Sony's video, photos, ebooks and games on-demand service. The tablet is said to come out of the box with PS1 games and PlayStation integration installed. Keep reading for more details.

The S1's design is supposed to be more "personal" with its folded-back magazine design. It's approximately the same weight and size as the Apple iPad but will feel lighter because of weight distribution. Some other specs include 1,280 x 800 pixel touch screen, front and back facing cameras, Tegra 2 processor, and a USB-A port. An IR port is also included so you'll be able to control outside devices, including Bravia TVs.

The WiFi-only S1 tablet is rumored to cost $599 when it launches this September. Of course since nothing has been officially been confirmed the launch window is speculative too.

I rather get a NGP or PS phone.
