Saitek GM3200 Gaming Mouse
Available: Now
Price: $59.95

PC Gaming isn’t dead and you’ll need a good mouse if you want to frag with the best of them. It’s all about DPI and weight with these mice, but are they worth your money?

PROS:

* 3200 DPI is Very Accurate
* Unique Game Profiles/Settings
* Good Ergonomics
* Adjustable Weight

CONS:

* Will Not Increase Your Skill
* Minimum DPI is High for Regular Computer Use

Gaming mice are an interesting thing, because they won’t actually make you any better as a player, but they definitely help good players get a bit more of an edge on the competition.

This Saitek has a top setting of 3200 DPI, which is very high. This will give a skilled player a lot of accuracy and sensitivity for extremely small adjustments. It will swap on-the-fly between 800, 1600, 2400 and 3200 DPI. Unfortunately, 800 DPI is a bit high for non-gaming use and you’ll want to turn the mouse sensitivity in the OS down.

A nice feature is the included software that will save settings for different games by creating profiles. This let’s you switch between different games without having to reset the mouse or game settings.

The ergonomics on the mouse are good, but if you have freakishly large or small hands, you’ll probably be uncomfortable with this mouse as well. The user-configurable weight adds a bit more customization and a heavier mouse can help deal with the higher DPI.

The bottom-line is, if you're a serious PC gamer and are missing your sniper shots in Counter-Strike (or TF2!) this could be a great mouse for you to check out. If you don't play that many PC games or don't require a ton of sensitivity and accuracy, don't bother.
