Samsung has begun production of a 3.2 TB NVMe PCIe solid state drives, which use the company's 3D V-NAND flash memory technology. Targeting high-end enterprise server customers, the new SM1715 comes in a half-height, half-length PCIe card form factor. Sadly. this drive only works on desktop PC because it uses the PCI-Express slot on a desktop PC, and some servers. I think most consoles don't have PCI-Express slots because the video chip are built-into the Processor, or motherboard.
I think video editors would also love to have such a fast drive since copying and pasting big video files to a desktop computer to edit now takes a lot of time now that there are video cameras which can record video in 4K resolution and higher.
