Save states are possible on actual consoles now?

Okay, this is pretty cool. You get save states in a Mario 64 game running on a real system.
Now if only they could add rewinds, we'd have all the features of an emulator in real video games!
Or you could simply run an emulator from a cartridge-based container like I did on the GBA *innocent whistle*

True. But does that let you run games from the same system you're playing on?

30 of them in the one cartridge i had, yep! Well, it held 30 GBA or a LOT of NES and older games. Mind you this was when the GBA was the latest handheld - not years later like most of the things online.

That's very true. And the 3DS ones have one too via the restore feature.
Those features are very nice when you're playing a difficult game, aren't they?

Wasn't this done on the PSP already?

If you have a modded PSP. It runs every console's games from PS2 downward to Atari and had a built in cheat system similar to gameshark. Otherwise, not built-in, no. Not sure if someone else added a feature, however.
