Ii use LightShot and I then upload it to imgur.com.

I use PicPick as it does everything I need it to do very well.

I use Screen Hunter Free which can take a full screen screen shot, a screenshot of the active program window, and a screenshot of a selected area. It also saves my screenshot picture file automatically after I take my screenshot.

I just use PrtSc, paste the screenshot into MS Paint, and then save it as a .jpg. I also have a thing called Snaggit, but I find it rather complicated to use it. I might try some of the programs you recommended in this thread.
