Valve is making a change to Steam that will allow players to see how much storage is required before needing to try installing first.

Before this Steam update, players would only know how much space a game would take up by attempting to install it. After pressing the button to install the game, a new window would list how much of the drive is free, along with how much the game would take up. While this may be a small change, this update gives players a much more convenient way to check how much is needed, and some can take advantage of this new feature now.

Kinda odd they wouldn't have this before. But yeah I always check the specs requirement before getting into the various games offered on Steam which is just as important.

Seeing how much storage space is needed for a Steam game is a useful feature for people with bandwidth data caps on their ISP, so they don't go over their monthly bandwidth data cap for their internet service plan.

It is also nice to know how much space a game needs before downloading it.
