SEGA Sammy has made a significant $1 billion offer to acquire Angry Birds developer Rovio in a big mobile push, sources have told The Wall Street Journal.
"Rovio confirms that it is in discussions with Sega Sammy Holdings Inc. ("Sega") regarding a possible tender offer for Rovio's shares. Rovio and Sega will release further information at an appropriate time."
Keeping all consoles available might be the key to this buy. Making sure it stays on all consoles for better results. Then again it would work better with motion/tablet-like controls.
I'm surprise of the news of Rovio being Sold to Sega.
Hopefully, Rovio and Sega can work together at making fun games.
I enjoyed the Angry Birds Kart racer called Angry Racer Go which I played a few years ago. Maybe adding a few Sega Characters like Sonic to Angry Birds Go can make the game better.
