Dang I thought this was going to be a serious show when I first read the title of this thread... Golden Axe is one of my favorites on the Mega Drive. I'm still going to watch it but eh, I can see this one getting bad scores from critics and fans of Golden Axe.

The series is co-created by the creator of Star Trek: Lower Decks. Now, with the Star Trek franchise, there are already tons of movies, series, etc., so having a series like Lower Decks that is not serious and is comedic in tone is okay. My problem with Golden Axe is that this is the first time ever the series is being made into an animated show, and thus it should have a serious tone like the game especially the arcade version and with a proper story. I think this has strong potential to fail badly, just like the comedic ThunderCats series, ThunderCats Roar.

I immediately thought of Thundercats Roar when I watched the trailer. :\ Yeah I don't have high hopes for this show.
