Shadow Tactics: Blades Of The Shogun is one of the best stealth-type strategy games I've played in my life. While mimicking the Commandos and Desperados series, Shadow Tactics is set in medieval Japan and offers its players an awesome story with a great plot twist near the end.
You have 5 characters (a ninja, a samurai, a teenage thief girl, a geisha assassin and a wise old man) that help the shogun fight against a mysterious warlord named Kage-sama. The missions include objectives such as: taking out enemy guards, samurais etc., doing certain tasks, taking hostages, and much more.
The game is on Steam and Gog. So far, it's not available for consoles, but it works on Windows, OS X, Linux and SteamOS.
