Other Shenmue 3 Delayed Once More

Series creator Yu Suzuki and publisher Deep Silver posted an update to all of the game's Kickstarter backers confirming that Shenmue 3's scheduled release date of August 27, 2019, has now moved to November 19, 2019. They promise the game is "almost ready," and just needs a bit more time to "deliver the true Shenmue experience players around the world deserve!"

At least there's a release date, not like Star Citizen, 8 years later, +/- $288 million, and still no real release date on sight..

That's because of the Patreon funding the game gets along with its hilariously priced DLC, they'd be stupid to actually release it at this point.

Its a feature, not a bug for the affectionately nicknamed Sunk Cost Galaxy.

I wanted to back it waaay back when it was announced, but my gut told me not too and so I didn't.
