Should Kirby bother appearing in spin-off games?

I mean, lets think about in, whenever Kirby appears in a game that doesn't feature platforming and the copy ability, people go coo-coo over it and complain how it's not Kirby and whatnot. At least, that's the impression I've gotten, especially with the new "Kirby Gather" game. I am a person who likes Kirby, copy or no copy. Copy is fun, but Kirby isn't just 100% copy. Epic Yarn seemed to do a good job at excluding the copy and looking amazingly fun (truth be told I haven't played it yet), and in my opinion, Gather looks kinda neat and I'll definitely be looking into it further.

But enough about what I think, do you disagree or agree with me when I say what I just did in the topic title? Should ye olde ball of pink puff bother with spin-offs?

Well, I like Kirby when he has his copy abilities. He's ok without them too, but I don't play those as much. I mean, I never played Canvas Curse. But that's mainly because I prefer proper platformers when Kirby's in a game. On the other hand I have played Epic Yarn, and enjoyed it - it really only let me down in terms of difficulty.

One spin-off I wouldn't mind seeing again is another Kirby Air Ride. BUT, a measly 9 courses are NOT ENOUGH. For a proper racing game there should be a lot more than that, in my opinion, whether or not you have 3 different racing modes. Not everyone likes Top-Down mode (I know I don't!) so more focus on racing similar to Mario Kart without getting too similar would be good.

I want to try Kirby's Air Ride. It seems like one of those super simple, yet addictive games. I have tried out Canvas Curse, but didn't enjoy that too much to want to keep playing. The game felt like a chore, almost, though I must admit it was pretty cool in terms of design and stuff.

I like Kirby spin-offs,but not as much as the main ones.My favorite spinoffs were canvas curse and epic yarn.I just got Kirby 64 today on VC andi love it!
