Shovel Knight developer Yacht Club Games has released a very detailed breakdown of the game's sales in a new blog post.
Amongst some very interesting facts and figures around Shovel Knight's budget and sales estimates, Yacht Club reveals 75,000 copies of the game were sold in the first week minus Kickstarter pre-sales. 38% of sales were on the PC, 35% on 3DS, and 27% on the Wii U. After a month, Shovel Knight has sold an impressive 180,000 copies, which means the developer can continue towards its stretch goals without seeking extra funding.
