Skyward Sword is complete, but still needs debugging/testing.

There will be a demo at E3 with three different aspects of the game explored: Flying combat, overworld + sky exploration, desert dungeon.

Skyward Sword girl's name is "Dorella."

Magician from GDC trailer's name is "Nephiburoo," he'll be a part of a group of evil sorcerers who wish to obtain the Triforce.

Ganondorf is in the game briefly as a child. Isn't too important to the story.

Zelda has a new design, similar to an Egyptian princess with brown hair. She's still recognizable however.

Full orchestrated soundtrack by the person responsible for Super Mario Galaxy's soundtrack.

Two overworlds: Skyloft and Hyrule. Contrast is similar to Heaven and Hell.

Ten minute live-action prologue that'll be posted on the net a couple of months before release.

After you complete the game, the game goes into a storyless, neverending epilogue. Every dungeon in the game gets another dungeon inside of it utilizing everything you've obtained in the game with new bosses. New areas on the overworld are unlocked in places you wouldn't expect. Similar to the original Zelda.

Game will feature horse riding and boat riding. Not as expansive as seen in Twilight Princess and Wind Waker, however, but a boat will be required to complete some dungeons.

Coming November 1st, 2011.

Seems plausible, some bits more than others (i'm not sure about the 'endless epilogue' bit; apart from seeming just too much of a break from the norm, it would mean we could only ever see the ending once per play through).
As for whether it is true or not, we shall have to wait and see. Only about a week to go till E3, after all.

Now, my opinion on these rumours...

Skyward Sword is complete, but still needs debugging/testing.

Not sure how accurate this is. On the one hand, it would make sense, considering how long the game's been in development... it's been about three years since the announcement, and most important Zelda games took about three years to develop (talking games like OOT, Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, as in games where significant changes had to made to the engine). On the other... I'm not sure, development was problematic, and the game went through so many design changes and likely table upendings that the question is... how much of a story/scenario do they even have for this?

There will be a demo at E3 with three different aspects of the game explored: Flying combat, overworld + sky exploration, desert dungeon.

Somewhat plausible a demo exists, but this set of points is flawed. Flying combat? What the hell? I dread the announcement of something like this, since it seems like such a... gimmick. Something that while plausible in terms of 'this is what Aonuma would throw in', would probably detract from the game.

Desert dungeon sounds neat, but overly specific. It sounds exactly like the one loose thread that could cause this whole set of rumours to come crashing down like a row of dominoes.

Disprove the desert theme, gone are the rumours and their credibility.

Skyward Sword girl's name is "Dorella."

Don't buy it. The name is absolutely awful and seems so unsuiting for the character.

Indeed, this guy's name seems more logical than calling the mystery girl 'dorella'...

Magician from GDC trailer's name is "Nephiburoo," he'll be a part of a group of evil sorcerers who wish to obtain the Triforce.

I doubt this name as well. The evil sorcerers thing would be lame if true as well, because it's basically the exact same thing as the twili in Twilight Princess. Except you know, maybe this could be an origin story.

Ganondorf is in the game briefly as a child. Isn't too important to the story.

When has Ganondorf never been too important? The fact he's a child would mean more than the 'legend telling' from the start of Phantom Hourglass:

Of course, it's debatable whether he should be in the game... he hijacks the plot way too easily.

Not sure I buy this. Unless there's some Egyptian theme going through the whole game. Plausible to an extent, but it seems a lot of change for Nintendo.

Could be plausible.

Okay, definitely don't see this is accurate. Seems entirely like the trope 'everyone is Jesus in purgatory', looking for meaning and themes where there likely is none.

Ten minute live-action prologue that'll be posted on the net a couple of months before release.

Don't buy it. Nintendo has never used live action for anything outside of advertising, the last attempt was the failed CD-i games. Or one of them, can't remember which.

This would be awesome. But how is this like the original? That's nothing at all like the Second Quest, it had no new bosses, no new areas on the overworld, and the whole dungeons were replaced, not parts of them.

Game will feature horse riding and boat riding. Not as expansive as seen in Twilight Princess and Wind Waker, however, but a boat will be required to complete some dungeons.

Dunno. Might be overkill. Don't think having three methods of transport would be a good idea.

Coming November 1st, 2011.

Past NA release months:

  • Legend of Zelda- February
  • Adventure of Link- January
  • A Link to the Past- November
  • Link's Awakening- August
  • Ocarina of Time- November
  • Majora's Mask- October
  • Oracle games- May
  • Wind Waker- March
  • Four Swords Adventures- June
  • Minish Cap- January
  • Twilight Princess - November
  • Phantom Hourglass- October
  • Spirit Tracks- December
Seems possible (three major games did come in November)... but on the other hand... many didn't. That leaves a fair possibility this might be Nintendo's time to release the game at another time of year, especially as Twilight Princess already got a November release, and the DS games also got late year releases. We'll wait and see.

ost of that stuff seems legit.Except the name thing,of course. I'm gonna laugh if thats really their names

In response to your dithering about the release date, Nin3DS, Nintendo have said that it will definitely be released this year. So November certainly seems plausible.

Heck yeah. I say bring it on. Viewing his origin along side with that of the Hylians and Hyrule would be incredible if rumors are true.

On related note here's a piece of art done by the incredible artist that is Vestergaard representing the awesomeness of said opinion.
