The last time 7-Eleven made headlines here at IGN, the Japanese version of the convenience shop was dropping Metal Gear Solid Rising and Peace Walker hints ahead of the two games' E3 reveals a couple of years back.

This time, the news is a bit more official. 7-Eleven Japan has provided a first look at a special Super Mario Bros. 25h Anniversary DSi system. The reason 7-Eleven got the exclusive this time is because they'll be the exclusive seller of the system.

Just to avoid confusion, here's a recap of all the various Super Mario themed products that are on the way for Japan, where Super Mario turned 25 on September 13.

Nintendo first announced Super Mario Collection Special Pack. Set for October 21, this 2,500 yen limited time (produced through January 10, 2011) package puts the Japanese version of Super NES's Super Mario All-Stars on a Wii disc. The real point of interest are the bonus goods, which include a special red sleeve, a 10 track soundtrack covering all past Super Mario games, and a booklet with rare imagery, including some never-before-seen development drawings from Shigeru Miyamoto.
