So we got no Sonic Generations on Wii because of HD?

Okay, this is kinda ridiculous. I mean, it's Sonic the Hedgehog, it's never exactly had realistic graphics or a requirement for HD to begin with yet...

* There is no Wii version. Sonic Team head Takashi Iizuka says this is because “The primary goal for the console versions of Generations was reimagining the series’s classic zones in vivid, high-definition graphics.”

Shakes head in disbelief. Especially considering that apparently, a 3DS version was fine, despite the console having about Gamecube/Wii graphics in power.

The 3DS has a little more power for effects and display. It's low resolution makes it jagged. It has shaders, so it should suffice. The wii would crawl.

Judging by the game play videos of the console versions, I highly doubt the 3DS version will be "Rush" style. I'm assuming it will be identical. Rush had dual screen play and if Sonic Generations is going to incorporate 3D displyed images, then it shouldn't be considered similar to Rush. Besides I loved Rush, Hideki Naganuma soundtrack and Blaze ftw.

I'm loving that screen with Robotnik's final Launch Base Zone boss mech. Nostalgia heaven.

They write the magazine a month or so in advance, so most magazines will miss out recent news until the issue dated after E3. Similar to how 'today's' newspaper technically covers yesterday's news.
