So what role will Rosalina and the Comet Observatory play in 3D World?

As we likely all know by now, it's been near enough confirmed that Mario Galaxy stuff will appear in 3D World due to the Comet Observatory in the artwork. You can see this here:

But while this does look really intriguing, it currently doesn't show much about what it'll be used for.

Will there be a secret world based on Mario Galaxy? Will the final world take ideas from it? Will Rosalina appear as a character in some fashion?

How do you think Rosalina, the Comet Observatory and Mario Galaxy stuff will tie into 3D World given that the Observatory itself is confirmed as being in the game somehow?

I think the Comet Observatory from the artwork is just an easter egg drom the designers, as they're the same team that made the Super Mario Galaxy Games. If it was an actual part of the game I think it would've been made easier to be seen.

I hope it's just an easter egg. No more Galaxy related things. No levels based off of it, not a world based off of it. That river has run dry.
