Nintendo "likely" won't produce a second run for its less popular Amiibo figures.

Over the weekend, Canadian games retailer VGP tweeted that Nintendo is discontinuing its Marth, Wii Fit Trainer, and Villager Amiibos. When questioned by skeptics, VGP said it heard the news from its "official authorized Nintendo Distributor."

IGN reached out to Nintendo for clarification and received the following response:

"We will aim for certain Amiibo to always be available. These will be for our most popular characters like Mario and Link. Due to shelf space constraints, other figures likely will not return to the market once they have sold through their initial shipment."

If Nintendo won't keep them all in stock, than their Amiibo program is already a failure.

A bit too soon Nintendo. On the first ship... Man, that really is asd.
Man, I better ho a secure Marth and the Villager before is too late...

Wait! Could this be a hidden strategy to make us rush and boost the sales the sales on the less popular Amiibos?
