Some interesting things happened when playing Mario Kart 7 just now

In single player, 150cc (Star, Special and Lightning cups). Some stories:

1. I got more than three Red Shells when in first. Why I don't know, since I had literally no use for them.

2. I hit Lakitu with the Tanooki Tail when using the cannon at Airship Fortress, sending him to his doom in the abyss.

3. I got a Mushroom in first on SNES Rainbow Road, then used it to dodge a Blue Shell. Hooray!

4. And here's a weird one... I had a 'ghost' Banana appear in Koopa Cape. No kidding, the next player was about three seconds behind me and I wasn't using any items, and it was the first lap, and I came across a Banana just lying around in the underwater section. Didn't hit it thankfully, but.. how the hell?

And dear internet, no you can't get lag offline when vs the AI.

5. However, when I dodged the Banana, I hit a fish, bounced off the top of it and I think bounced up the side of the pipe, causing the kart to spin out and losing first place for a bit. Bloody fish.

6. I got hit by a Red Shell in Dino Dino Jungle and actually smashed into the dinosaur's neck. No effect, but... ouch!

7. Literally once a race I slowed down to let the second place AI take a Blue Shell hit. Considering this happened mainly in the cup where Lakitu was the 'rival' opponent, the poor guy must have took about four or five Blue Shells for me!

8. Despite falling off a few times, hitting items and enemies, get hit by Blue Shells and going off road without a Mushroom, I got three stars in all races. Yes, those stupid 'criteria' idiots online post are complete crap.

But hey, happy memories!

What was weird for me was that:
I was playing offline on 150cc on Dino Dino Jungle. I was in first place, and I was gliding at the part after you get out of the cave, Roaslina was in 7th-8th place and got a spiny shell. After I saw the spiny shell come in on the bottom screen, I was like, "Crap!" But what was weird was that it just zoomed right on past me, completely ignoring me. And after the next lap at about the same place, I got blown up with (I think) the same Spiny Shell. So it either went around TWICE before hitting me, or it was a different one.

I've had a lot of terrible things happen for me when playing online.

1. I get and use a bullet bill in like 7th place or so.
It either..
A. Stops right after I've passed through the next upcoming ? block, causing me to miss my item due to the bullet bill still in use.
B. Stops right in front of someone with a star, causing the player to hit me. Or stops behind him, thus making me crash myself into him.

2. I'm always getting hit by a Star in the beginning of the race or so.

3. When shooting a Red Shell at someone, it hovers behind my opponent forever, due to the late reaction online. Thus, me trying to pass him, I end up running into it myself.

4. No matter how much I try to dodge a green shell, it some how manages to hit me at random.

5. I'm in 5th or 6th place on final lap. I grab the last ? block till the finish line. What Item's do I usually get? Either a blooper, Green Shell, or Mushroom. What Items do my opponents get? Golden Mushroom, Bullet Bill, Triple Red Shells (especially when I'm unarmed).

6. The Blue shell loves hitting me.
Not because 1st place slows him/herself down but because everytime I try to put myself in a position where a blue shell DOESN'T hit me. Guess what? Some how, it randomly hovers through the same position I'm in and hits me.

7. My bob-ombs never explode as soon as a drop it on the opponent on my back. What happens when they do it on me? It works perfectly.

Ah.. Yep. These are all of my terrible kart accidents.

Weird, i remember you posting a topic about the same thing.
Don't really have any moments, but there is a slight chance to get Mushrooms in 1st, and i noticed after the 2nd or 3rd lap begins, almost everyone that gets an item box in that time gets a mushroom/triple mushrooms.
In other words, i got a mushroom in 1st and dodged a Blue Shell.

i was yoshi in wario shipyard, i use a mushroom on the last ramp twards the finish line (2nd) then metal mario bumps me right off of the cliff as he hops to slide! i became 8th!
