the only one who would know about the account is either me or gamestop and it was hacked the day after I bought CoD: Ghosts. So I'm thinking an employee may have done this from my local store.
I use the gamestop site a lot but I rarely visit my awards account (Which are two different sites). Last time I logged in besides yesterday would have been 3 or more months ago. If my PC was indeed compromised then the person would have went after bigger sites I visit such as this place or my paypal.
That sucks. Maybe it is a bad Gamespot employee, or hacker who hack the website to hack random accounts which is usually out of members control because the hacker took control of Gamespot's website, and has access to the site's accounts.
Well after sending the email in and getting a instant auto reply notification they got it, I waited a week and no reply. So I did some googling and found people were getting no replies from email or getting anywhere with phone calls. So I found their facebook page, after complaining they said to email their facebook account which I did today and several hours later they restored my point amount.
crap security, crap support, crap working conditions. I feel ashamed buying from gamestop.
ha, sounds like an inside deal.
It's not rare for companies to start deducting crap then they expect 20,000 people to complain out of the 80,000 they have scammed.
unfortunately there is no profit to be made, gamestop lost double on this hacking. The $35 off comes out of their pocket which doubled once they refunded my points.
Though I'm sure one has to use their card when using reward points stuff so they should find the guy to lesson the damages.
