Playstation was silent on Twitter after the all digital announcement and now that they're slowly trying to come back to the platform I'm sure they want all the positive feedback they can get. As someone who believes in the Dead Internet Theory, this doesn't surprise me in the slightest.

Hopefully, X/Twitter will ban most of the bots from posting many Playstation compliments which make it harder for people to find real replies and posts written by a human.

Not sure why Rockstar would hire bots as GTA isnt exclusive to anyone lol
Rockstar signed a marketing deal with Sony, so yes, they "kinda" are.

That's not the "bots" they're talking about in the articles. They're saying, Sony is paying accounts to speak well about the decision. We need to draw the distinction; when people say you're a "bot" in a game, that means you're a loser. You're a bot in Call of Duty? You're timmy no thumbs. Whereas on a forum, a "bot" is like spammer shit. On X, it's a spammer that posts "inauthentic" posts, where the whole point of it is to waste the server's resources. Either that, or to sway (public) opinions in such a way it hurts another brand's reputation.

I just think the headline is misleading, and it's not representive of what Sony is doing here. I'm not defending them, I'm trying to draw the distinction, here.

I don't need to be paid, I was a PlayStation fan, and still am. But on the other side of this, is that people don't realize they are part of the problem. They bought some digital games, and all the excuses in the world is not going to change Sony's stance.

Thanks for the explanation on bots in this article.
