Borrowed this off a friend for the 360, and I'm super impressed. It's the newest Sonic installment and the best in too long.

It has two Sonics in it, and two "acts" of each level. In act 1, you are classic Sonic, with the traditional side-scrolling, super fast and non-automatic feeling, although graphically tuned and with a couple of minor upgrades. Nothing that takes away from the classic feel though. In act 2, you are today's Sonic, with the 3D and side-scrolling super fast-as-hell gameplay as in daytime levels of Sonic Unleashed.

What's better is that all of the levels, bar boss battles, are "remakes" of older Sonic levels. My memory fails in whether or not they are the same in cases where it's possible, but I don't think they are. They just feel the same. It's amazing. The first level, of course, is Green Hill Zone. It's cool to see a reinterpretation of the level in Act 1, and then a 3D version in Act 2 (I never did get all of the emblems in SA2 to play Green Hill Zone on it).

Anybody else played it? I recommend it to any Sonic fan. I haven't wanted to 100% a Sonic game since SA2 came out on the Dreamcast, and I was like 9 when that happened.
 
Got it on my PC, it's pretty awesome. I love me some Speed Highway. Then there's that first time you lay eyes on City Escape.
 
I got it. I think it's a great game and all, but I still like Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, Shadow the Hedgehog, and Sonic 06 a lot more.

It's an autotune mess. Why not the original by Crush 40? I mean it's ok up until 1:05. Then it starts sounding bad.

Also Crisis City. I mean I love Sonic 06, but god this stage was just so hard and it wasn't fun. Well as classic Sonic anyway.

Oh and the level from Sonic Colors wasn't good either. I didn't like the gimmick of... whatever the heck was going on.

Though the boss fights were well done, that's for sure.
 
"Got" it and wasn't all that crazy about it, but best Sonic game Imo so far.
3DS version blows tho, do NOT get it.
 
I agree with the Sonic Colors elements being garbage. I didn't find any of the levels too hard though. S rank on all of them except a that weird forest one on Act 1. Didn't take me long, either.
