Sony has confirmed the release day line-up for PlayStation TV, which launches on October 14 in North America and November 14 in Europe.

The micro console - detailed on today's PlayStation blog - enables you to stream your PS4 games to another HD TV in your home, as well as selected PS Vita, PSP and PS one classics, too.

Almost 700 games will be available from day one, including familiar franchises such as Metal Gear Solid, Killzone, Rayman, Tomb Raider, LittleBigPlanet and Final Fantasy.

The system is available from $100 - or $140 for a bundle that includes a wireless Dualshock controller, 8GB memory card and the LEGO Movie video game. A further bundle featuring Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time - also retailing at $140 - will be available exclusively (for now) from Walwart, and an Adventure Time: The Secret of the Nameless Kingdom themed pack will be available from November.

damn, 700 games.

I feel that the Playstation TV got released kind of late since there are now a lot of mini consoles, and alternative consoles which are out. There also will be Razer's Android TV, and other Android TV console which will come out in a few months.

A used PS3, Xbox 360, or Wii would probably be a better deal since you at least get a controller, hard drive, and other stuff instead needing to buy a separate controller, memory card,  or buy the more expensive $140 bundle.
