Our televisions are one gadget, our remote controls are another gadget, and our speakers are also another gadget, and typically all these gadgets exist separately. However it seems that over in Japan, Sony has created some kind of weird hybrid which combines a television remote and a speaker into one.
As you can see in the image above, that is the result of this weird combo also known as the SRS-LSR10. It’s a rather interesting design that seems to be more functional and aesthetically pleasing and like we said, it’s basically a combination of a television remote a speaker. The idea is so that you can walk around the house and keep listening to your shows without having to watch it.
The gray box is an optical S/PIDF TOSLINK audio port for plugging in game consoles, DVD players, and stereos which uses S/PDIF cable for digital audio.
The PS3 has a TOSLINK audio port on the back.
The DC 5V is the power charging port on the back of this speaker remote. The charging port looks like a MicroUSB port, so you can charge this speaker with a charger from your smartphone/tablet with a MicroUSB port.
