Well, Sony recently announced the Next Generation Portable, which is the successor to the PSP.
Specs include a quad-core ARM Cortex-A9 processor, 5-inch touchscreen OLED display with 960 x 544 resolution, dual analog sticks (not nubs as on the current generation), 3G, WiFi, GPS, a rear-mounted touchpad, the same accelerometer / gyroscope motion sensing as in the PlayStation Move, an electronic compass, and cameras on both the front and back." It's going to be released by the holidays. And it looks like the handheld wars continue... 3DS vs NGP. Sony finally caught on to the touchscreen gaming thing. About time. Pricing and EXACT release date is unknown. I'm guessing that it'll be 300 bucks. It's better than 599 U.S. dollars. Releasing it so far away from now is a bad choice; the 3DS will have improved by that time. And 3DS has so much to back it up, such as 3D, and all the game serieses that have become extremely popular over the years, like Mario. But of course, the powerful processor and PS3 graphics are going to win over some people. This'll be interesting. Here's to months and months of Nintendo and Sony fans arguing! *clinks glass*
