Sony Plans Price-Drops on 'Halo' Day?

We all know that Halo 3 is gonna mean big bucks for Microsoft and could sell a lot of consoles, but is Sony planning something to fight this?

Analyst Michael Pachter believes that Sony could make some big announcements at TGS. He believes we'll see a lower-priced 40GB PS3 and a $99 PS2.

hope so the ps3 looks a great machine for sony i hated the ps2 with a passion in my opinion the xbox kicked its arse from 1 corner to another, but i gotta say i do like the look of the ps3 just a little bit overpriced for me

Well, i didn't actually buy the xbox first time round (wish i did... ps2 sucks) so i'll get it this time round.
