PS5 Sony reveals much more expensive and powerful PlayStation 5 Pro

After years of rumour, speculation and hype, Sony has confirmed it is launching a more powerful - and much more expensive - version of its hugely popular PlayStation 5 console.

The PS5 Pro will be able to show more advanced graphics and display the most demanding games at higher, more consistent frame rates.

But that added power will come at a cost: the PS5 Pro will be the most expensive console from Sony to date.

UK gamers will have to shell out £699.99 when the upgraded console launches on 7 November.

Is this on anyone's shopping list? Nodoubt the scalpers will pick up huge numbers of them and sell them at a premium. Is the lack of a physical drive an issue? Answers on a postcard.

The price isn't even the sticking point for me. I knew it would be expensive. My real issue is that you have to buy the disc drive as an add-on if you want to play physical games on it.

In the end they are going to sell consoles because they will market as the hardware to play GTA 6 on.

I feel it will sell well for a few months, but many people may not be interested in buying the PS5 Pro because it does not have a built-in disc drive, and it cost $700 which is expensive.
