So I was reading today about browser creators trying to speed up the internet, but of course from what I read it has to do more with the servers data is pulled from.
Google (Shocking I know.) is making a new protocol called SPDY (Which stands for speed.) which will bring all the files to your web browser at once instead one at a time (if you pay attention to your browser when entering a page it says it's loading AAA and then BBB, ect).
Do you see SPDY becoming the next big thing for internet?
This would be good for people with dial-up internet, but most popular websites load in 1-5 seconds for me on Google Chrome, FireFox, Opera, and other web browsers since I use Cable internet, so I think I would not notice much of a speed increase or any.
I think it would be cool if we can load Full HD PC games in seconds on a website in a web browser to play for free without paying any membership fees.
It is already possible with http://www.gaikai.com/ to play high quality 3D PC games, but it can take a minute or more to load a game to play on your web browser in 3D and HD.
I wonder could this slow down your website, computer or internet since SPDY "will bring all the files to your web browser at once" according to the article, so if your website is over 1 MB in size, and most downloads are 300-500 KBps in my experience for downloading regular files like MP3 and video. Would SPDY use all of your bandwidth just to download one website all at once?
Plus, your CPU and RAM would also have to load all files at once, so if the website has auto-play video, flash, music, large pictures, etc, it might slow down your PC if all files are loaded at once at the same time.
