Square Enix is good at making RPGs, but only really good at selling them in Japan.
Franchises like Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest sell like hot cakes over there, but don't sell as well as they could in the US.
To help boost sales here in the states, Square Enix is looking for a US-based publishing partner to help market and sell their games.
At TGS,, the Times spoke to Square Enix Senior Vice President Michihiro Sasaki, who said that they, "need to seek cooperation with a US publisher."
He added, "Our strength is in role-playing games and fantasy titles, so it is a bit difficult to appeal to the US market."
TheFeed is guessing this partner will end up being EA because they run these streets.
Sasaki also said that Square Enix is "worried" about the PlayStation 3's sales numbers, especially with Final Fantasy XIII and XIII Versus coming to the PS3 exclusively.
