PlayStation Standard PS4's will support HDR next week

If you have a standard PS4 hooked up to a TV that supports HDR (high dynamic range), there was good news at today's PlayStation Meeting. The console will receive a firmware update next week to add support for HDR images. Meaning that some titles in the future should look more realistic.

I think it has only really become known to the general public this year.

I'm sure it has probably been around for a couple of years just not as mainstream as it is in TVs this year. I am sure anyone with a 4K TV or a recent HD TV will likely have HDR supported.

Hrmm, mine is about 2 years old now I think. I'll have to look into it.
