Star Fox 64 3D This year

During Nintendo's E3 2011 press conference, President of Nintendo America Reggie Fils-Aime announced a release window for Star Fox 64 3D. Following a brief video showcasing some of the new gameplay, Fils-Aime noted that Star Fox 64 3D would be available at retailers this September. No specific day was given in the announcement.

Star Fox 64 3D is a remake of the original classic Nintendo 64 title that boasts a graphical update and multiplayer features.

So it's the same Nintendo 64 game, made to run on the Nintendo 3DS, will it contain any extras or anything new? I wonder if there are any new Starfox games planned for the Wii, Project Cafe and 3DS that doesn't involve porting over an old game to the newer hardware?

So is it a full blown remake or is it a port? A full blown remake with 3D would be quite nice, I still would like to see an entirely new game though.

I see, I should have figured that though. It'll probably just be an "HD" port with some features tacked on.
