In honor of the upcoming Star Fox: Zero for Wii U, I decided to play through Star Fox 64.
(bear in mind I typed this a while back.)
So, I was playing Star Fox 64 earlier today (the Wi-Fi was down all day), and I encountered a… strange Easter egg when I loaded the Expert mode.
That’s Fox’s dad, James McCloud, right? So, why does he have chat sprites?
This isn’t the first time I came across this. For as long as I played, I found that his chat sprites are literally ALWAYS there when he speaks. Here’s another example:
He utilizes the same dialogue as Fox, as well as the same voice actor, but he has different chat sprites. Plus, unlike Fox, he has no name above his head.
I think that the reason why James has chat sprites here is simply becausethere may have been some sort of unlockable mode where you could play as James, and was scrapped before release.
