So I was discussing this in the general chat a little bit here earlier, but wanted to create a little bit more of an in-depth topic just sharing my views.
I was lucky enough to get chance to play the beta for the Star Wars Battlefront game on PS4. I really enjoyed it as a whole and felt they were fantastic at getting across the vibe that the movies give off. The characters, environments and such were fantastic. However, I feel the game is massively missing potential. The multiplayer is nothing more than team death match with little bits of an objective every now and then, this often makes the world feel a little bit dead. If they put a campaign in here, this game would be fantastic. The modes got boring pretty quickly and trying to take down AT-AT's were very unbalanced. Spawns often led to instant death and weapons could literally kill enemies across the map. Vehicles could only be earn't from collecting power-up drops, whereas I felt they would be better if they were just possible to climb into them when you want.
The hero characters were great and as said I loved the overall atmosphere but the game felt empty and I was often left thinking 'this would be so much better as a solo campaign.'
Problems definitely need to be solved before release, but even still... I feel that the game is missing out and therefore not worth full price.
