I recently bought Starfox 64 3d, and so far I think it's a pretty good game.

The gameplay is really fun and exciting, and the graphics are pretty good. The circle pad controls are great for steering and manuvuring, but I was surprised to find that the gyro controls were actually really usefull in aiming, although the 3d effect doesn't work too well when turning it too far to the side. The land master up and down aiming controls are kind of difficult though.

The story is just ok, and it's also really short. I got to the final faceoff with Andross within the first two days of playing it, but I just started the game over and now I'm playing on a different path with a completely new set of levels. The bosses are usually pretty fun, except for the final battle with Andross, witch is kind of screwy. I really wish that they had either not done voice acting, or done a little bit better. When the characters are talking, their heads bob up and down really quickly, and it doesn't look like they're talking at all. Also, Slippy the frog sounds way too young to be flying an arwing in, my opinion.

In general, if you like action shooters, and inivative new controls, then this is the game for you. But, if your into dramatic storylines, and good acting, then I would probably stay away from it.

I give this game:

9 golden nintendans.

Can you give me your opinion on replay value?

Oooh, 9 Golden NintenDans, sounds pretty good to me, heh. Also, congratulations for writing the first non-NintenDan review, Manbearpig!

Ritsu's asked a good question, after you've beaten all the pathways, are there many side challenges or other things to unlock, or is the replay value a little bit stale? I haven't had much to do with the original game, so I'm uncertain about this myself.

i have this game as well and may i add there two modes in the game the nintendo64 version then 3ds version using the gryo mode. gryo mode is motion play in the game as your the control in the game.you can control your path on the 3ds mode you can change your route at anytime as for the 64 version you cant or you may but it will cost you a life.

Who keeps removing my post!? I said 5 Golden Nintendans!!! I haven't played this game yet.
It is removed for a reason, and you shouldn't question that reason. Said reason was your post was pointless and did not contribute to the review, hence its removal.
