The day has come, ye lovers of Netflix's instant streaming service, Starz Play will be parting ways with the streaming giant on February 29, in search of greener pastures (read: more money). While many had hoped for a last-minute change of heart from Starz, it now appears such hopes are all but lost.
Rather, Starz is expected to adopt a similar platform to HBO's streaming service, HBO GO, which offers content streaming instantly via your cable service, your home consoles (in the near future), and through your mobile devices via the HBO GO app.
So what exactly will Netflix lose when Starz vacates the streaming website? Roughly 840 films and TV shows, including several Disney titles like Tron: Legacy and Toy Story 3, a few new releases like Kill the Irishman, and a slew of great Starz TV shows, including Spartacus and Party Down (if you haven't seen this one, marathon it tonight), not to mention classic shows like Have Gun Will Travel, Flipper and Perry Mason, among others.
