It is nice that Steam will work on multiple brands and models of Chromebooks, so users have more Chromebook models to choose for running Steam on Chrome OS.

I wonder if Steam for Chrome OS will ever be released for slower Chromebooks with Intel Celeron CPUs, and 4GB of RAM.

I highly doubt it. Having Steam on a device that can’t run any games on it is kind of pointless. Google has done stuff like that before, and that causes more frustration than just telling them “no, you can’t do it”. Having a feature and it not working is more annoying than not having it at all.
