Yeah, it's the time of the year when you should brace yourself to spend some cash on heavily discounted games you'll probably never ever play. It's the time of the year when may if us hate Valve for doing this to us and yet pour them with money. So, have you brought nay games yet? Are you planning to buy more?

I actually haven't bought any games from the Steam Summer Sale yet because I am still playing games that I bought during the winter sale.  There are few games that I'd like to play right now anyway, as I've already got most of my "essentials" (Ex; DayZ, Arma 3 & Arma 2, Rust), but I would be interested in picking up The Forest or Stomping Lands if they were to go on sale even just a little bit, but even that is doubtful as they are early access games.

I haven't bought anything yet, so far nothing has caught my eye. They are either indie games (which I refuse to play) or they are games I already own. I am still looking however if I see some thing I like I am going to buy it for sure.

I've bought more games in the past few days than I ever have on Steam. The first thing I bought was the Devil May Cry bundle, which comes with Devil May Cry 3 and 4 for $7.49 (they're sold separately for $4.99 each). I thought I was getting a great deal until I found out how terrible the Devil May Cry 3 PC port was. A friend of mine gifted me Don't Starve, which I've been playing a fair amount recently, and Skyrim, which I traded for Payday 2, which just finished downloading a few hours ago. Yesterday, I bought the latest Tomb Raider for an unbeatable $4.99. It's an amazing game, although my cheap little laptop has trouble with it at certain times. Lastly, I bought Garry's Mod today for $2.49 as part of a Community Choice sale, which is still downloading now. I'm up to my neck in new games and there are still 6 more days of Summer Sales. I can almost hear my wallet begging for mercy.

Aww man you're not a fan of indie games? Can I ask why? My favorite part of the steam sale is indie games. Steam drops a lot of the prices ridiculously low (sometimes they are like 2 dollars) and I usually get a decent amount of enjoyment and playtime from puzzle games or whatever niche the indie game fills. Are you just interested in more continuous substance?

I haven't bought anything yet for myself, my son got a game that your make a disease and try to kill of the world. Looks pretty fun though.

The Steam Summer Sale was definitely one of the best sales I've seen yet! I've bought about $20 worth of games only though. I plan to get another Steam card sometime today so that I can buy some more games. So far, I've bought games like Garry's Mod, the Counter-Strike pack, and Far Cry 3. I've been playing them ever since I bought them! The best thing about Garry's Mod is Trouble in Terrorist Town! You guys should think about getting it. It's only $5, so I'd say it's worth it.

I haven't yet bought anything, and I don't actually plan to buy anything if everything goes as planned. First off, I have far too many games that I haven't played already (about 300? Something like that...).
As I have mentioend in other threads already, I used to be literally addicted to purchasing steam games a year or so ago. I would buy everything, all the time, and man... The summer sale two years ago, I probably spent over a thousand dollars just on that sale alone...

Not only do I not want to buy any games because I have too many already, but I also feel that I don't really afford any new games at this moment. I have other, more important things to save up to, and every dollar counts into saving up to my goal. Either way, any game I would buy on this sale would most likely just end up on the pile of "games never played".

I've debated a few no doubt and I'm constantly checking the list.
I think I posted this in another thread here, but this is a great minimalist site for Steam sales -- http://steamdb.info/sales/?displayOnly=Game&category=0&cc=us

In any case, I bought Terraria for $1.99 the other day to play the with lady. I'm debating Torchlight II which is currently on sale, but we've been enjoying Terraria so much that I'm not sure we'd get around to Torchlight for awhile. So with that in mind, may just catch it another time on sale.

Hoping YNAB (You Need a Budget) goes on sale.

I wonder which game this is. I for one haven't heard about any such game. Then again, there are tons of titles on Steam nowadays. He must have picked up one of those.

Recently I purchased The Ship, and Can't Stop Laughing Bundle to play with friends, because they are all games that are best played with some close friends.  Especially Battle Block and The Ship.  That being said,  I probably won't purchase anything more unless for some reason The Forest goes on sale.  Then and only then would I consider buying any more games this summer sale.

No matter how much I tell myself it's not a good idea, that I've not played the games I bought last time, I just cannot resist the low low prices. So I've picked up Guacamelle!,Spec Ops: The Line and two games as a birthday present for my friend.

The sales are looking pretty good so far. I'm not sure if I want to drop any money right now, though. However,  I'm really, really tempted to get the Grand Theft Auto Complete package, just for nostalgia's sake. Can't beat the price!

So far my best purchase has been The Wolf Among Us. I'd been eyeing it for a while and even considered pirating an episode at one point, but I'm glad I got it. Also:
-Defy Gravity
-DLC Quest
-Fallout: NV
-FTL
-Half-Life 2
-Risk of Rain
-The Stanley Parable
-Tiny and Big
Could have been worse, I've held off on a lot of games I want, but I got bills for power/phone/rent and needed to refuel this week so I wish I had a little more self control.

I am broke and I have a real huge Steam library at the moment. I am not going to buy anything from this sale. I have, however, gifted my brother $5 Steam Wallet because he wanted trading activation for his account. He bought a cheap Just Cause 2 DLC of a vehicle. I'll just look in the next sales. The present sale is really good, though.

These summer sales are always too good man. If you are broke or something, I would advice you to keep your distance from Steam until Summer Sales is over. The titles being offered are too good to miss man!

I did consider Wolf Among Us, but I've been watching a playthrough that's up to date with the episodes that are out, so for a story based game...I just couldn't justify spending money on a game that I've already watched.

I've picked up a bunch of different stuff and will probably pick up quite a bit more in the next couple days if the sales go the right way :)

It's a game called Plague Inc: Evolved. Reminds a lot of a flash game I used to play a long time ago called Pandemic 2.
