Anybody else losing a lot of money to Steam? Or rather, purchasing a lot of games for very cheap? So far I've picked up The Book of Unwritten Tales Collection, Castle Crashers, Far Cry 3, Civilization 5 Collection, Borderlands 2, and Thomas Was Alone.

So many great games to choose from! Anyone else taking advantage of the sale, and if so, what did you get?

nice :) I didn't spend as much as I thought I would since most of what I want was purchased in the last summer/holiday sales. I did end up getting tomb raider and rpg maker though... The surgeon simulator game looked crazy, but kind of entertaining.

RPG Maker? I'll have to look at that one, haven't heard of it. Just bought Critter Crunch too, it was $2.00, looks super cute! Been considering Toki Tori 2 since it's on sale too, but I really wanted to get it off the Wii U eShop at some point!

I purchased Bastion for the same amount as a Hot Pocket, lol. And I bought all the Civilization V DLC. I haven't been collecting the trading cards, though. They don't really mean much to me.

I've been voting for games that I want to be on sale but they keep losing by minimal amounts of %...

And I'm not going to make the same mistake I did last time and buy all those indie (= Shovelware, most of the time) games for 2$ because it ends up amounting :I

So, no, so far.

You won't regret that purchase of Borderlands 2, just sayin'.

As well the purchase of Far Cry 3.

Myself, I'm probably not going to get anything. :\ The only games I have and play on PC is TF2, Terraria & Endless Space.

Ed-oh wait, I forgot about FTL.

I hope I enjoy them. I'm not terribly good at FPS's on consoles- I suck at shooters using controllers. But I think a mouse and keyboard setup will be a little easier to learn and get practice on for me. I mean, I'm a darn good archer in Skyrim for the PC!

I gotta say, Thomas was Alone is totally worth the cost, even more so when it's on sale. The script and voiceovers really make the game, I've been enjoying it.

Since you got BL 2 on the cheap, it's REALLY worth the purchase since there's a ton of content for the price.

I gotta say, Borderlands 2 is freaking awesome! Hubby and I have spent most of the weekend shooting things in it lol. It was definitely worth the $10 we paid for each copy by getting the 4 pack and splitting it with some friends!

Anyway, the sale is finally over in under an hour, and Steam got a lot of our money! But for us, it came at a great time- we got a lot of the games we've been putting off buying for a long time for super cheap, and now we'll have plenty to do in the coming months while we buckle down and pay some bills! After all is said in done, I came away with The Book of Unwritten Tales Collection, Borderlands 2, Castle Crashers, Critter Crunch, Far Cry 3, Puzzle Quest 2 and Puzzle Quest: Gallactrix, Civilization 5 Complete, Starforge Alpha (Which is kind of like Minecraft in space? Hubby wanted it, but it doesn't play well yet because it's in alpha -_-) Thomas Was Alone, and Tomb Raider. Crazy amount of games, but they'll keep me busy for months and months to come, and with Steam's account system, I can download and play them as I please! Woo!

All I got from the sale was Knights of the Old Republic 1 & 2, and I also bought my brother and myself the 1st Bioshock. None of the other sales really caught any of my interest.

I haven't bought anything, but my friend kindly gifted me Half-Life 2 and Half-Life 2 Episode 2 which was super nice of him!
Plus I don't really have the money to buy Steam games and I probably wont buy any until I get a new PC :/

Good thing there are plenty of fun free-to-play games!
