Street Fighter 5 producer Yoshinori Ono has reiterated that it won't be free-to-play.
“Let me set this straight: Street Fighter V is a packaged game,” Ono told Famitsu (via Shoryuken). “Not [free-to-play].”
We didn't hear Capcom mention any plans for a F2P model or version when IGN reported on the debut of Street Fighter 5 at the PlayStation Experience over the weekend. However, Shoryuken reports that in an interview in June, Capcom president Haruhiro Tsujimoto implied they were considering a pay model to help close the skill gap for future Street Fighter games.
