Nintendo has revealed more about the compatibility between Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and the NFC Nintendo Amiibo figurines announced earlier this year.
The first Amiibos to be released will be those within the Super Smash Bros. roster. When activated, the Amiibos will be entered into the game as figure players and can level up their abilities as they compete.
Amiibos can be used to fight against each other, and will have unique data attached to them that can be carried over to other systems. When importing an Amiibo into someone else's game, your Amiibo figure player will get tougher and will bring back unique gifts from other people's systems.
In related Amiibo news, Nintendo has announced the Link Amiibo figure will be compatible with Hyrule Warriors on the Wii U.
