If you have not heard of SUPERHOT, it is certain that this will change in the coming weeks. SUPERHOT is a unique FPS game taking place into a world where time only flows if you move. So this gives rise to situations that should put your reflexes to the test, all in a very clean environment. A very clever concept that first impressed the masses by winning the 2013 edition of 7 Day FPS, equivalent to the FPS Global Game Jam.
So why is SUPERHOT taking the spotlight again? It was funded within 48 hours on Kickstarter. After its initial success, the small team of developers had made the prototype of the game available and managed to attract more curious people, eager to try it. To refine the concept and make SUPERHOT a full game, the team launched a Kickstarter campaign before a few days ago, requesting $100,000 to fund the development.
The campaign is a huge success, since the sum was met in less than 48 hours, and that the moment of writing, has reached a total of $161,270, allowing the team to recruit a 3D animator to offer improved graphics, and include a SPEEDRUN MODE feature for those looking for an extra challenge. Reaching $200,000 will unlock a REPLAY MODE where players can replay their actions in real-time, while reaching $230,000 will see the inclusion of a NEW GAME+ MODE.
