SUSH!; if you don't have anything nice to say don't say it at all

Okay, so my mom always begs me to let her read my writing or see what I've drawn. Though I normally only let those who it's for read what I write since I am fairly critical about my work and pretty much never like it much at all.

So in the car on the way to my therapist (... Yes I go to a therapist for adoption crap) I had some papers with me of what I wrote since my therapist wanted to see them. So my mom keeps on complaining about it so I pick my narrative I wrote ( CLICK!? ) and her first comment?

"Did you really turn this in to your teacher!?"

I wanted to slap her. And shout THIS IS WHY I DON'T LET YOU READ MY WRITING 'CAUSE YOU DON'T LIKE IT.

My writing is a fairly dark (and to my therapist a scary and pained) for of writing. And the piece I even censored all of the bad parts out (for school purposes, which I hate doing).

So in the end I was really irratating. My sister told me she was gonna have nightmares (she didn't thankfully) but yeah.

The moral in this rant is sort an "I told you so" or "If you don't have anything nice to say don't say it at all", "Beggers can't be choosers"? Well whatever it is I don't plan on sharing my writing anytime soon.

your stories are indeed dark rin, but at the same time they are well written and a good read. ignore your mother and your therapist and for the love of god don't show your little sister dark writing and keep on doing it.

Your mom and the therapist may not like it but many others would like it. This kind of reminds me of the edgar allen poe unit in my school. The man was dark, he was depressed, and all that but his stories were famous and his history and stories is being teach to many kids through out many schools in the world.

To those who don't like your writing, don't show them but seek out the people who would love to read them and encourage you to write more.

Yeah, thanks for the advice. Not many people like the form of writing I do. My friends call em suck up pieces or emogoth angst. But I guess somewhere out there someone would enjoy my writing.

My mother inisted on reading my outline for my Career Education project I'm doing on Brad Warner. The first comment...

"You don't have his full name"

Though at the top in the instructions it says fill out as much as you can, or something like that.

You know, I have to agree with Rin here. People are always saying shit about the way I look, calling me a poser and stuff like that. Quite a bit is bull because I am in no way a poser, the reason why people believe I am is because I a bit darker than the normal person, yet I don't cut myself. So yeah, I "don't look the part." That is the reason that I am irritated by people. But back onto your topic, yes, your stories are really well written. I believe you write poetry also, and if you do(because I really think you do) I am also a fan of that, it's some quite nice stuff.

Yeah, my friends give me tons of crap caller me a cutter and a emo/goth. Though I'm neither in my opinion. I just wear lots of black and see the world through a darker perspective in most. That's just how I am I supose and it's not something that I could easily change.
