ok, i'm not sure when this started but its getting annoying now. i've been able to send and recieve messages through swapnotes all the time... until now...

everytime i try to send a swapnote it just says that my message is being saved for a swapnote delivery and i come back 30 minutes to hours later and it still hasn't sent. i can recieve messages fine, and even when the do the spot delivery check, it goes through and says i'm ready to send and receive messages though says i have NO MESSAGES WAITING TO BE SENT, when indeed i do..... WHATS GOING ON???????

can someone please help me so i can get back to my swapnoting.....

Actually there's no way to tell if your note is sent or not...and btw when you tap "Send via Spotpass" it doesn't send immediately, instead it will send when you put your 3DS into sleep mode, I blieve.

That is because they are already sent over via Spotpass when sent unless you are disconnected

i've never had to put my 3ds in sleep mode to send notes before.....
Just asking, how can you tell if one of your notes is sent or not?

by getting replies to them. usually my friends replied to my stuff within 5 to 10 mins........ i've gotten NOTHING

My suggestion is to try sending it via another type of connection. I also never put it in sleep mode for the messages to send. I usually do get replies. My thoughts:

1) You exceed the 3000 mark and that somehow is causing a problem
2) People are not responding
3) Connection issues with your modem

I know these sound farfetched, but I honestly cant say what is going on with your swapnote. Everything you do, I do as well.

I've been receiving notes dated months ago.... wth?

I do this to new friends, I send them all the notes ive sent out in the past. I didnt know it has the original date until someone mentioned it. My conclusion is that whoever is sending you month-old notes made them on that date and are sending them to you now.

Its a good thing, it shows they are going out of their way to spcifically send YOU notes!

When you receive a message, the date that the message is displayed as, is NOT the date you received it, but, more confusingly, the date that the sender's 3DS was set to.

To prove it, I put my 3DS to March 9, 2008, then sent a message saying that Brawl was released today in the US, and then a few days later, changed it to January 1, 2000.

Some of you will have seen these messages. I also sent a message dated December 25, 2012, saying Merry Christmas....
Has anyone got that one yet? Or does anyone have some weird glitched message or something? Because normally it's only programmed for up to 7 days in the future, so I dunno if it's glitched or anything

This is actually not good for your system. It can mess up how it connects to other systems and cause you to be unable to access any of your online games. Currently, there is no fix other then just fixing the date/time and leaving it alone for a few days before trying again. Some people on the Nintendo Help forum said that this problem can persist for a month or longer.
