Reports are coming in that when docked, the Switch becomes rather hot and to the point that the plastic of the Switch is becoming warped, causing the handheld to bend. There are also other reports that the Switch becomes hot to the point that it will cause issues to your SD card (from cooking to melting it).

Anyone here have these issues?

I do notice that it gets hot, but I haven't actually had any of those issues. I really should be more careful though and limit how long I play it when it starts to get hot.

From what I've heard, it doesn't get nearly hot enough for the system to bend. Apparently that's just a manufacturing defect and some people's Switches came like that. In regards to the micro sd cards melting, it's the Sandisk cards and they also melt in Go Pros and other devices. Must be an issue with the card itself rather than the Switch.

Yeah, something like the Wii U gamepad stand would be better. Hopefully a third party makes a better stand with a fan built in.

An Air conditioner, or desk fan pointing at the Switch may fix this problem with the Switch getting too hot when docked.

I wonder would Nintendo install a more powerful cooling fan in future versions of the Switch, so it can move more cool air into the console to cool it many parts.

I know with a simple cable you can link it to the dock without it being in there. That's all you really need.
Maybe the console needs to be upright to help the Bluetooth signal? I know my PS4 has trouble detecting my inputs if I put my knees up and block the direct line of sight between the controller and console.
