Batman: Arkham City's campaign will take eight hours to finish if you're a ninja according to Rocksteady's Dax Ginn. "I can tell you that our QA guys, who are ninjas and obviously know everything in the game, can do just the core story missions, nothing else, in about eight hours, just straight-lining." Normal non-ninjas who don't have the ins and outs of every room memorized won't be able to rush through it quite as fast. Plus, this estimation doesn't include side-missions.

If a roughly eight hour campaign sounds a bit short to you, Rocksteady is making sure Batman: AC has replayability. "In terms of replayability or filling out a single-player story with additional features, there are more announcements that we're going to make, which I think will solve that problem," Dax Ginn told CVG. What features could they add to make you want to play the game again?

Batman: Arkham City will be released for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC on October 18th.

where as being a ninja is fun, I rather go in fists and bat items a blazing.

8 hours is pretty long by today's standards. Look at Portal. Look at Left 4 Dead. Both very short. I think that a lot of games are made short and rely on DLC to keep 'em going.

I wonder if the guy used a GameFAQ guide/walkthrough, cheats since 8 hours sounds fast. I rather just do all the quest to get the hidden items and places.

It's definitely not 8 hours. 1) It's not out yet. 2) The game is SP only, and I doubt any would pay $60 for an 8 hour long game. 3) Arkham Asylum was at least 20 hours; why would it drop?

if you do everything in the game, it will take more then 8 hours. but if you go just to do the main story it will be beaten in 8 hours.

I still doubt it. They would be the biggest dicks for doing that, and various reasons why it WON't be just 8 hours.
