Less than a month after American Dad's air date as a TBS original series, TBS has ordered a new season of the Seth MacFarlane animated hit.
After a 10 season run on FOX, TBS picked up American Dad as an original series with a 15 episode order, which premiered in October. Thanks to solid performance in its time slot, TBS has now ordered 22 additional episodes. Each week's premiere is currently averaging 3.1 million viewers when combined with its encore on sister network Adult Swim.
"By ordering a new season while the current season is early in its run, we're ensuring that Seth MacFarlane and his team will have the freedom to take the misadventures of the CIA agent Stan Smith and his family to a whole new level," said Deborah K.
